Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan and set it aside for later.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together. Combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and sea salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine the melted butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Make sure you mix it well. When adding the eggs, do it one at a time so that you can be sure they are mixed together fully.
  • Last, fold in the mashed bananas.
  • Get the whisked dry ingredients and add them to the wet mixture. Mix everything together until you have a smooth batter. Be sure not to overmix it.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for about an hour. To check if it's done, insert a toothpick in the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the bread is done.
  • Note: You can tent the loaf with foil if the top is browning too quickly.
  • After it's done, remove the loaf from the oven. Let it cool off for about 10 minutes while it's still in the pan and then transfer it to a wire rack to completely cool.
  • No instructions needed, just be sure you have a slice while it's still warm - yum!
