While most grocery stores carry mascarpone cheese in the deli or specialty cheese sections of the store, that’s not the case for all of them.

Mascarpone Availability at Popular Grocery Stores

Albertsons
Albertsons carries a variety of mascarpone cheeses. The known brands carried by the chain include BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese, Primo Taglio Mascarpone (their own brand), Vermont Creamery Mascarpone, Galbani Mascarpone Cheese and Di Stefano Mascarpone. Albertsons carries mascarpone in its deli section.
Aldi (US)
Aldi in the United States does not appear to carry mascarpone on a regular basis. However, they offer their own brand of chocolate mascarpone seasonally, which is branded under their Emporium Selection. They keep their site updated with seasonal offerings.
Aldi (UK)
Aldi in the United Kingdom offer an Italian-made mascarpone cheese in a 250 gram tub under their private label Emporium Selection.
Costco
As most loyal Costco customers know, the warehouse chain is famous for constantly changing inventory, but at the time of this writing, Costco does not sell mascarpone cheese at its location. However, BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese was available in 5 gallon tubs at the Costco Business Center website.
Fred Meyer
Kroger supermarkets owns the Fred Meyer chain. Many Fred Meyer locations offer BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese, Galbani Mascarpone Cheese and Vermont Creamery Mascarpone Cheese in the deli section of their stores.
HEB
HEB offers many varieties of mascarpone cheese at their stores. Brands carried include BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese, Miceli’s Mascarpone Cheese, Vermont Creamery Mascarpone and Galbani Mascarpone. HEB sells mascarpone in the deli and prepared food section of the store.
Kroger
Kroger carries BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese at most of their locations. It can be found in the Fresh Prepared (deli) section of the store.
Meijer
Meijer stores sell BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese brand at many of their stores. It can be found in the store’s deli section.
Publix
Publix stores carry the BelGioioso Mascarpone brand. It can be found in the deli section of most Publix locations.
Ralph’s
Ralph’s is owned by Kroger supermarkets. Most stores carry BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese, and Vermont Creamery Mascarpone Cheese. Ralph’s carries mascarpone in the deli section of most stores.
Safeway
Safeway stores (part of the Albertsons chain) offer several mascarpone cheese brands. Among these are BelGioioso Mascarpone, Primo Taglio Mascarpone (Albertson’s private label brand), and Galbani Mascarpone Cheese. Safeway classifies these as specialty cheeses and usually has them in the deli section.
Target
At some locations, Target offers the BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese brand. Availability can vary depending on your area, but when available, it can be found in the deli section of the store.
Walmart
Walmart carries (and has carried) a variety of mascarpone cheese brands at their stores, including BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese, Miceli’s Mascarpone Cheese, Vermont Creamery Mascarpone and Widmer Mascarpone. The cheese is located in the deli section of most Walmart locations.
Whole Foods Market
Whole Foods Market carries mascarpone cheese from Vermont Creamery and its private-labeled Farmstead Cheese. Typically, these mascarpone cheeses can be found at the specialty cheese department of Whole Foods.
Vons
Vons supermarket (part of the Albertsons chain) sells several different brands of mascarpone cheese. It varies by store but some of the brands sold include BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese, Primo Taglio (private label brand owned by Albertsons), Vermont Creamery Mascarpone, Galbani Mascarpone and Di Stefano Mascarpone Cheese. Vons sells mascarpone cheese in the deli section of its stores.
