Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 12 drops of royal blue food coloring gel
  • 1 cup mixed chocolate chips semi-sweet, white, and milk chocolate
  • ¾ cup chopped Oreos
  • ¾ cup chopped mini chocolate chip cookies like Chips Ahoy or Famous Amos
  • 40 milk chocolate candy melt wafers

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. While the oven is warming up, take two baking trays and line them with parchment paper. Set them aside for later.
  • Get a mixing bowl, add the flour and baking powder. Whisk them together and then set the bowl aside for later.
  • In a large mixing bowl, blend the butter together with the brown sugar and the granulated sugar. Keep going until you've got a fluffy, light consistency.
  • Then, add the eggs in one at at time. Be sure to beat the mixture well each time you add an egg.
  • Last, mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the flour mixture to the wet blend until they are combined.
  • Now comes the magic! Add the blue food coloring gel and mix it in until you've got a striking blue hue.
  • Fold in all the goodies - mixed chocolate chips, chopped Oreos, and chopped mini chocolate chip cookies. Make sure to distribute them evenly.
  • Take a cookie scoop and use it to form dough balls. Slightly flatten each one as you make it. Then, take two of the candy melt wafers, add them to the center and roll the dough back into a ball.
  • Move the dough balls to the sheets you prepared earlier. Drop them on to the sheet and space them about two inches apart.
  • If you want, you can add some extra chopped cookies or chocolate chips by lightly pressing them into the dough.
  • Put the dough balls in the oven and bake them for about 12-14 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are slightly golden.
  • Take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool off for about 5 minutes or so. Transfer them to a wire rack to completely cool. Enjoy!
